  1. My partner hasnt worked for nearly 15 years, she is on Income support with Incapacity credits. I was workng and had a part time job working a large supermarket chain. She has depression because her 2 kids were taken into care, and also suffers from arthritis.

She moved in with me in september but because I was working, she was allowed to keep her 1st £20.00 then the rest was taken off her benefits.

She applied for Incapacity benefit but was told she hadnt paid enough National insurance stamps to recieve incapacity benefit. Is this true? also I’ve had to give up my job because it wasnt worth working.

When I was last unemployed the benefits office wouldnt pay me JSA (jobseekers allowance) because again I hadnt earned enough national insurance stamps. But I was diagnosed with HBP (High blood pressure) related to stress of being in debt and and they paid me Incapacity benefit.

If my partner could get Incapacity benefit I could work and she could keep her money.

  2. I am 18 and when I went to my doctor I had a blood pressure of 156/54. My doc thinks it is “white coat syndrome” and when I asked for some kind of medication he told me I was too young and my bp is normal. So i got a blood pressure cuff myself and machine and when I was measuring my blood pressure, it turns out the doctor was right. But my BP is still high. It is a constant 130/55-60. Now high BP runs in EVERYONE in my family. Everyone gets it and has it. So since I am slightly overweight I started jogging everyday at a speed of 6 miles an hour for 2 miles! I started going on EXTREME diets! Like every small 1,200 calories a day. I have lost weight, I was 200 pounds, now I am 195. I go ahead and check my blood pressure and it hasn’t even dropped!!!

I think I need medication. I think my white coat syndrome is a result of anxiety. I feel like if I take an anti-anxiety beta-blocker like propranolol, everything will be fine.

I always feel nervous even when I am not supposed to be nervous!

    gmine’s usually about 130 -150 /80 – 100… bpm between 70-120…. (and those are the actual readings, I haven’t got it wrong).

But I don’t worry too much about it… if something happens it happens, it’s called life.
