I am really glad to hear that you are moving some weights, that really helps. Documentation really helps you realise that you really have made improvement over time. Stay strong.

Terrific. I suspect that it’s better to let the treadmill and the shorts tell you how you are going, and let the weight take care of itself (most of the time). You didn’t mention your brother and the other guy. Are they still with you on this? Best wishes.

What I would try is to try to run at 2.5 as your lowest, and then jump to about 3.5/4.0 for a minute, then drop back to 2.5 for 2/3 minutes, then just repeat. You don’t want to over work your self. Also, always go in with the mind set that muscle weighs more than fat.

  5. vaccutter says:

Muscle burns fat also, so try and build up muscle with a few sit-ups and push-ups every night. Set a weekly goal for X amount of each every night, then increase X next week by maybe 5 or so, and just keep increasing every week, not every day. Hope that helps :]

play around with the incline, 2.5 to 3.0 with an incline of 1.0 or something, anything to change it up. I would also recommend you try a full body split for weights, something like bench press for chest, shoulder press, pulldowns for back then the leg machine you mentioned and something for arms. Muscle burns more calories than fat.

Yeah, I’m already walking at an incline of 3.0 just for the simple fact that when I tried walking flat, my weight made the track skip a beat. Not good times, almost made me give up the treadmill for a while but using the incline, it’s easier because my weight comes down with the track and not against it. Hope that makes sense.

  8. NBFan84 says:

Yeah I totally know where you are coming from, I had the same problem at one point

measure urself every morning before you eat or drink anything. i think that’s the best way to keep track of ur progress

  11. xxc3lld4m4gexx says:

hmm..they should have scales that show weight all the way up to 500 at your gym, my old gym did at least…you should check it out

  12. pookoos says:

Bravo on the calorie and exercise log. It’s the only way I have any accurate idea of what’s going on with myself too. it’s sooooo horribly easy to overeat when you’re adopting a new lifestyle. This is probably really stupid, but I always buy a fancy journal and a really nice pen; it makes me want to write in it more.
