  1. Elijah luv says:

I am 31 1/2 weeks pregnant and failed my 3 hour glucose test. I am controlling my blood sugar with diet, but was wondering when high blood pressure usually starts with gestational diabetes? I had high blood pressure at the end of my last pregnancy and was induced at 37 weeks. I didn’t have gestational diabetes last time though.

  2. I’m sixteen years old, 165cm tall and I weigh 75 kg.
I’ve struggled with the my weight my entire life and I was only a healthy weight for a couple of years after I was diagnosed with diabetes 6 years ago. The last 4 years I have just gained more and more weight without knowing how to stop it. The last couple of years my doctors and diabetes educators have told me to lose weight at every appointment but never telling me how or giving me any advice. I have even been reduced to tears a couple of times as all they do is criticise me but never give me any information. I’ve been trying really hard to lose weight the last year and I lost about 3 kilos but I believe it was a fluke as my blood glucose readings were really high during that time.
My diabetes control has otherwise been pretty good and my hbA1c has consistently been around 7.
This is the only aspect of my life I’m unhappy with but it’s destroyed my self-esteem making me less confident around people. I just don’t know what to do anymore and I desperately need advice. Someone please help me.
