YOGA Benefits and FLEXIBILITY

Yoga books from ancient Hindu scripts tell us that Yoga, as we all know, is aimed to unite the mind, the body, and the spirit. Often times the simplest things are stressful because of the sheer plethora of decisions we must make . Under the weight of these pressures we begin to crumble. Body Awareness and Appreciation: In our culture we may care about the way our bodies look, however most of us do not understand the mind/body connection. It is ludicrous to believe that we could support good health and stay disconnected from our bodies. This is even more obvious when there is an injury. A lot of times you will see a strong disconnection from the area of injury. Nothing could be more vital in terms of rehabilitation than connecting to the area of your body that needs your love and attention.

Yoga helps to create a deep connection and sense of your body. Yoga makes your comfortable in your own skin again, or maybe for the first time. It makes you feel complete. You start to realize that the body, mind, emotions, and spirit, have to connect for you to truly feel whole.

    i’m a dancer… i quit for a year for university.. i’m still flexible but i would love to be able to bring my leg up to my head… so some crazy leg exercises would be lovely!

    I was curious what poses are good for more advanced stretching. I love this one as a warmup, and I’m trying to encorporate more yoga into my stretching routine.

    I can already do my splits and am more flexible than most people I know. I’m particularly interested in deep back bends.

    sometimes depends on age. i was a dancer and the coach always pushed up into then it took about 3 weeks so about 9 practices for 2 hours. but if you constintly strech and ignore the pain it will come in a few months it makes a hude difference

    This is an amazing flexibility workout and same with the spit one I feel soo much better with alignments and even improved my posture big time thanks Esther I love your work your very explanatoryand I always make sure I get the stretch done right 🙂
