Buttock infections

Causes of itches on buttocks

Buttock itches can occur due to herpes, fungal infection, psoriasis, eczema and hemorrhoids.

You can contract genital herpes through sexual contact, you can develop cold sores (another form of herpes) from skin contact and you can even develop viral herpes (shingles and chickenpox) from airborne germs. All of these problems can give you different types of herpes symptoms but the welts and the sores look very similar. They begin to itch before they come out and then look like unsightly red spots which will fill with puss and then blister. After this blister has become hard, your herpes will no longer be contagious but the puss inside the blister can be filled with germs and make the spread of the problem a lot worse.

If it does, the sufferance shows up as nasty butt acne, making it difficult to sit. It is horrible! Did you try the sun treatment? Once in a while, moon it to the sun.

You should head on to the nude beach if you live anywhere nearby. Do not rub your infected buttocks on the sand.

Otherwise, your courtyard or sunlit verandah should do just fine. Enjoy the warmth drying the excess oil but avoid excess exposure as it can cause sunburns. Use a sun protection cream always. You know the norms!

And if possible and you are alone, go to your terrace and lift your butt towards sunlight.

Detoxify your body. This will always keep buttock zits naturally away. Apart from healthy greens, have a glass of fruit juice occasionally. Drink a lot of water. Plain water works like miracles in keeping the body clean from the inside. Try mixing a tablespoon of cream of tartar to a glass of water. Include good hydration in your diet all the time, especially if your skin is oily.

Lemon juice

Topical application of acidic lemon juice (citric acid) kills the bacterial infestation in your butt acne. Have you ever heard of the principles of osmosis? It says dissolved particles flows from higher concentration to lower concentration spontaneously through a semi-permeable membrane. You must be wondering how this scientific principle is applicable as a remedy for butt zit treatment! Well, you have to understand the science of the situation.

The oil deposit in your acne is thick in concentration. Skin is a semi permeable membrane at the microscopic level. So, if you can apply a non-toxic solution of lemon juice on the affected region with a cotton ball, it acts as a lower concentration solvent film microscopically. Are you getting it? Once you apply the lemon juice, the thick oil from your acne spontaneously discharges as pus and blood. Unclogging the pore can be painful, but it is a good treatment. Apple cider vinegar also works. Lay on your front for about twenty minutes after applying these solutions. Wash it later.

Ice packs, warm treatment, and turmeric

Application of ice packs also kills the germs and relieves a lot of the pain. You have to keep applying it once in a while, but also remember to try other remedies like lemon juice or turmeric. Turmeric paste possesses amazing anti inflammation properties. You can buy turmeric ointments but it makes no sense to buy when anyone can easily prepare the turmeric pack right at home! These are considered among the top home remedies to treat butt pimples.

Ice reduces the blood flow to the affected region and gets the swelling to cease. One needs to prepare a paste of turmeric in water and apply it directly on the affected region. Mint juice can be used instead of cold water for further cooling effect. Allow the paste to dry for ten minutes and let it harden. Wash it and repeat it periodically before you bathe. You can also apply the paste before going to bed at night and let it act for a prolonged time. Expect fast action with this highly effective remedy. Just like the ice reduces swelling, lukewarm water causes the pore to expand, making it easy for the clogged dirt to eject.

Light exfoliation

Light exfoliation helps to unclog the pore. You can use exfoliating remedies like dried orange peels, or finely ground sugar. Use a loofah and a non-comedogenic lotion when you bathe. Such lotions do not clog your skin pores. Avoid using soap when you have butt acne. The chemical components of soap may react in an allergic manner, causing further distress. Stick to home remedies as they are safe.

Do not forget the vitties

Your immune system, particularly the white blood cells are constantly trying to neutralize the germ infestation. You should be reinforcing your immunity with vitamins to treat buttock zits naturally from inside. Your doctor may suggest a multivitamin tablet, but you can derive the nutrient from your food as home remedies! You should be researching on foods than can supply your body with vitamins A, B5, C, and E.

Be faithful and natural

Avoid anal sex. Do not have sex with multiple partners or strangers. The propensity of contacting butt infections are higher in multipartner sex. Be faithful to your committed partner.

Internal cause

Sometimes, the infection in butt area is also a sign that one has systemic or intestinal yeast infection. This is slightly more serious because this type of infection can invade the blood stream and poison the patient. If you suspect that you have this type of infection (i.e. if you feel discomfort in your stomach or you also have symptoms of oral thrush) consult your physician. He can prescribe you stronger medicine to fight off the fungal infection. Make sure that you try to improve your diet and lifestyle even after your treatment. Treatments should always be taken holistically. Mostly, the acne or boils in our body part are indication to some internal or external infection, warning points for us.

I started getting boils about 5 years ago. Turns out I have an autoimmune disorder. And I’ve read someone that boils are a symptom of having a weak immune system. With my second boil, I went to see a doctor. She had the pus taken out. She said that if I didn’t want to get another boil that I should put antibody oilment in my nostrils once a day for one month. I haven’t gotten a boil ever since. It was the best advice that anyone had ever given me. Try a paste of turmeric. I read that it is great on boils.

I have a huge skin boil on my butt cheek, was just wondering if it is safe to sleep naked. Or should i wear nickers to bed? Thought it may help the healing process to let it breathe, but then again i don’t want to sleep naked and spread the germs onto my bed sheets and get boils all over me. Sorry it’s kinda gross!! Also want to know is it allowed in islam to sleep naked.

  3. kaveri dermatologist says:

**** Do not squeeze, scratch, drain, or open the boil. Squeezing can push the infection deeper into the skin. **** Gently wash the area with soap and water 2 times a day. Dry it well. **** Put warm, wet cloths on the boil for 20 to 30 minutes, 3 or 4 times a day. Do this as soon as you notice a boil. The heat and moisture can help the boil to open and drain, but it may take 5 to 7 days. A warm compress or waterproof heating pad placed over a damp towel may also help. **** Keep using heat for 3 days after the boil opens. Put a bandage on it so the drainage does not spread. Change the bandage every day. **** If the boil is draining on its own, let it drain. Keep cleaning it twice a day with soap and water. =========== Your doctor may want to cut a small opening in the boil so that the pus can drain out. This is called lancing the boil. He or she will numb the area first. Sometimes gauze is placed in the cut so that it stays open and keeps draining. Your doctor may also prescribe antibiotics to stop the infection. Take your antibiotics as directed. Do not stop taking them just because you feel better or the boil looks better. You need to take the full course of antibiotics. When should you call a doctor? ==== Call your doctor if: **** The boil is on your face, near your spine, or near your anus. **** A boil is getting larger. **** You have any other lumps near the boil, especially if they hurt. **** You are in a lot of pain. **** You have a fever. **** The area around the boil is red or has red streaks leading from it. **** You have diabetes and you get a boil. **** The boil is as large as a ping-pong ball. **** The boil has not improved after 5 to 7 days of home treatment. **** You get many boils over several months.

I keep clean, I shower twice daily. I even use anti bacterial soap and apply rubbing alcohol to my buttocks. I’m very clean about it, let’s just say that. Last week I had this massive butt boil so I went to the doctors, the doctor said I would need to go to hospital to get it drained. My insurance won’t cover that so I did it myself. It worked. Went away. Now I have three in the same area. My insurance won’t pay for my medicine and I’m super poor and too cheap to buy anything. What can I do and why doors this keep happening? I’m in so much pain and I’m thinking this is staph or something… Help, my butt hurts, I just want to cut my right butt cheek out. Sounds funny but I’m dead assss!
